For Summer I thought I would feature the two herb flavored teas I make for the summer garden walk season: Elmhurst Garden Walk Tea and Garden Gait Black Tea.

First up is our Elmhurst Garden Walk Tea! This blend was created specifically for the Elmhurst Garden Walk and Faire and has been a fan favorite since 2000. We carefully selected the herbs to create a refreshing, tart flavor that's perfect for summer. With lemon verbena, rose hips, lavender, chamomile, and calendula, this tea is packed with floral goodness. It's best enjoyed as a chilled iced tea, but can also be brewed as a sun tea. Trust us, it's the perfect way to start your day or cool off after a long day in the sun.

Next, we have our Garden Gait Herbed Black Tea - a special blend created in partnership with the Lisle Women's Club. This tea was crafted during our "Curative Properties of Tea" program and has been a hit ever since. With black tea, lavender, hibiscus, lemon verbena, and blackberry leaf, this tea has a bold flavor that's perfect for sipping hot or chilled over ice. And the best part? A portion of the proceeds go to the Lisle Women's Club scholarship fund.

Experience the joy of summer with our loose tea blends! Both Elmhurst Garden Walk Tea and Garden Gait Herbed Black Tea can be purchased in a zip seal bag or tin, or as Sun Tea with 2 oversized tea bags making about 1 gallon of sun tea. Don't miss out on these amazing blends - order now!

The Backyard Patch Herbs Story

Backyard Patch Herbs began with a simple belief: everyday herbs should be
fresh, flavorful, and easy to use. What started as a backyard garden has grown
into a ¾-acre herb paradise, where plants are grown, harvested, and blended
with care. Every mix is thoughtfully crafted in small batches to help you cook,
sip, and create with confidence—bringing garden-grown flavor and time-honored
herbal know-how into your everyday routine.
