As I began blending herbs and seasoning, I also started to formulate recipes for using them. The result was an archive of recipes that fills filing cabinets. Eventually I placed a selection of delectable yet simple recipes into cookbooks.
The Backyard Patch Cookbook -- was my first cookbook, produced in 1997. After being out of print for more than 5 years, we have found a way to reprint the original. This revised edition has corrected and improved recipes and a couple new recipes that did not make the original cut.
More than 50 pages of recipes including:

Each recipe gives you superb ways to incorporate herbs into everyday cooking. The format is booklet-style with a stapled spine and multiple recipes per page.
Written and compiled by Backyard Patch Herbs owner and long-time herb gardener Marcy Lautanen-Raleigh, most recipes can be completed in 30 to 40 minutes making them easy enough to cook after working all day.
All the recipes were crafted to be created using the Herb Mixes and Herb Seasonings available from Backyard Patch Herbs. However, substitutions are provided in the back of the cookbook so anyone with a stocked herb and spice cabinet can prepare these recipes.
Although I'm not famous yet, I am well-known in the Chicagoland area for my lectures and herbal products, so I signed these copies and can also add a personalization if you would like.

We grow all the herbs in our 3/4 acre herb garden in Addison, Illinois. We air dry them, hand blend them and don't mix in anything else.
