Every Summer I create a variety of Herbal Vinegars with fresh herbs. This year I have several unique blends. A great one with robust flavor that makes a great marinade is this Savory Blend. It is infused with lemon balm, oregano, savory, sage and peppercorns.
With Savory Blend Herb Vinegar, the color is golden with a red-brown tinge that is very attractive. The zesty, savory flavors makes it great to use in marinades and sauces. It is packaged in a decorative glass jar.
Preserving the fresh flavor of an herb, herbal vinegar is a great flavor addition to dressings and marinades as well as a perfect pick-me-up to sauces and vegetables. Herbal vinegar never spoils, but it does lose its unique herbal character after about 18 months. This vinegar crafted in 2020 will be tasty well into 2022.
Along with the vinegar we will include a recipe and tip sheet as well as several special recipes for use with this particular flavor of vinegar.
The vinegar will be carefully packaged for shipping to avoid breakage and spillage.
Here is a recipe like those included with this purchase:
Herb Salad Dressing
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
2 Tbls. herb vinegar
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. sugar
dash salt & pepper
Blend ingredients in covered container and allow 4 hours in refrigerator to meld. Can be used as a dip or thinned with 3 Tbls. of milk for salad dressing.
We can craft herbal vinegar from any combination of herbs and would be willing to create a custom vinegar for you. If you are interested, contact us through the contact seller links.
