Mulligatawny Soup - This recipe was imported from India in the 1890s. A seasoned vegetable soup that is served over rice with crusty bread for a rich meal and a great winter dish. The blend contains rice and seasonings, including flour, curry and nutmeg. Can be made with cooked chicken or crab for a more substantial soup. Either way, it is a great meal on a cold day. The recipe is included to make a vegetable soup in less than an hour.
Like all blends from Backyard Patch Herbs, we guarantee an 18 to 24-month shelf-life, because we use only the freshest herbs. All Backyard Patch herbs are raised organically and are chemical and pesticide-free.

We grow all the herbs in our 3/4 acre herb garden in Addison, Illinois. We air dry them, hand blend them and don't mix in anything else.

With the exception of Chicken Noodle soup, each of our soup mixes are made with a salt-free vegan bouillon and can be made vegetarian or vegan depending on how you prepare them. Protein suggestions, like Chicken or Pork can be substituted or left out and still enjoy perfect flavor.
