Backyard Patch Teas Blends are a special combination of high quality and flavorful herbs. They are hand-crafted blends which infuse a wonderful combination of flavors only available with fresh dried herbs and spices.
This pair of teas are crafted utilizing traditional Irish herbs to bring out the flavors of the season.
We have always blended our teas for taste first, crafting blends that bring out the unique flavors of herbs.
Each Loose Tea is packaged in a kraft zipseal bag which holds about 1/2 cup by volume ranging from 1 to 3 ounces in actual weight. Always enough tea for at least 12 to 15 cups or more of brewed tea.
Like all blends from the Backyard Patch we guarantee an 18 to 24 month shelf-life, because we use only the freshest herbs. All Backyard Patch herbs are raised organically and are chemical and pesticide free.
We are pairing these two teas in a set of two kraft bags in a package for just $11.00 or you can get the bags separately for $6.00.

Shamrock Black Tea -- This individual blend of Irish black tea, spearmint, blackberry leaf and rose hips was created originally for the Wheaton History Center "Shamrock" Tea held January 9, 2000
Irish Smiles Herb Tea -- An all herb tea that includes elder flower, rosemary, sage, thyme, and mint. It is sweet and savory and can keep away germs to keep you smiling.

Teas always pair well Scones and Shortbread. We also make great tea breads to serve with our teas. Black and Green Teas blended with herbs provide great unique flavors.

How do I brew your teas for the best flavor?
Use 1 to 2 teaspoons of loose-leaf tea per cup of hot water. If the blend has green or black tea, only steep for up to 2 minutes. If it is 100% herb tea, steep for 5-7 minutes, then strain. For iced tea, double the amount of tea and pour over ice after steeping.

We grow all the herbs used in our blends in our 3/4 acre herb garden in Addison, Illinois. The herbs are grown without pesticides, dried without electricity, blended by hand without preservatives, fillers and anti-clumping agents. Nothing but pure herb flavor!
